Beast waits silent
His presence chokes our breath

Could we have saved ourselves?
When we fall language is lost
Time is gone
Passing on
Stars expand
Oncoming end of night
Raze with the arc of horizon
In the distance looms monolith forward death
The sun has come to burn us to dust
