I remember back in the day when all that really mattered was what you would say the intelligence in your speech,
What you going to do to get to where you want to be,
Common now and breathe with the ology,
That’s one part me, one part dude in the back on the one’s and the two’s,
Who would have knew that we’d move through the bullshit to come out with dignity,
Truth is you win some you lose some, at times it takes a moment for the mind’s eye to catch sight of the things that suffocate you,
But believe me I can relate too,

In the last twelve months I’m lucky I ‘aint lost my mind, I’ve crossed some lines of course I’m fine,
I learned what you give is what you get in exchange and in return everybody ‘aint the same,
They change, they grow, they go, they know, they don’t, they won’t, let go, so,
I consider this my option B to bless these beats and toss um free,
I’m at a loss to hear this, and think that’s my shit,
For reals yall, it’s the kindness in the silence, the kisses in the dark,
The vivid little parts that bring the art to life,
When hearts get sliced at the end of the day,
