Consolidated Industry Corporate

[Intro]
Category D: Industry, Corporate

[Audience member]
"... since you oppose against corporate music industry. Still, you're on a major label, and your clips get shown on MTV, at least, here in Europe. So, we would like to have an explanation on that"

[Audience member]
"A friend of mine told me, he saw a video of you on MTV. And I just want to ask you: Are they so stupid in their minds, because you are, you have so against MTV, or they just don't know it or what is the reason? "

[Consolidated member]
"Yes, we have a video on MTV"

[Audience member]
"You shit on MTV, they show your video clip on MTV. I don't understand why you do that"

[Audience member]
"Is showing your video on MTV not a big compromise? "

[Consolidated member]
"Yes."

[Audience member]
"I don't think you are a hypocrite, but I saw you on MTV last night. How you think about that? "

[Consolidated member]
"He says - you say you don't think we're hypocrites?
He doesn't think we're hypocrites, but he saw us on MTV last night
...is that the same MTV that's over here? "

[Audience member]
"Don't you think you're oversimplilfying some messages too much? "

[Consolidated member]
"Yes. Next. "

[Audience member]
"Um, if you guys are against the music business, why do you have a video on MTV? "

[Consolidated member]
"Well, look, many people would argue that we're hypocrites, but-"

[Audience member]
"You're saying music has no meaning. If you're just going to sucks-up to the music industry, why do you do what you do? And I'm glad you do it, but what-how can you reconcile it? "

[Audience member]
"All right , you guys, say you're on Nettwerk, which is an alternative label. Well -"

[Consolidated member]
"Nettwerk"

[Audience member]
"Yeah, well, is this, okay, now, it's an independent label. Why are you guys....lying? "

[Audience member]
"You have similar views to Fugazi. Yet, Fugazi can play their shows for $5, and they have limits on their prices. I'd like to know why I had to pay $14.50 to come see-"

[Audience member]
"You have all these anti-corporate statements, and anti-oppression statements in your music. I really like what you're doing a lot. But I have one question: I went to see Fugazi a couple months ago, and their show was five bucks. Why are your shirts twenty bucks? What are you doing with that money? That's outrageous! "

[Consolidated member]
"We're not Fugazi. We're- I mean- we're not- we're not Fugazi
We're not - we're not- we're not Fugazi
We're- I mean- we're not- we're not Fugazi
We're not - we're not - we're
They're way harder than we are."
