I tried life underground but the only ones around
Were the ones who were dead and buried
There was no light, no sound, no beauty to be found
And so I started digging though I was wary

With dirt in my eyes

Don't get me wrong, I know the darkness is real
I know sometimes, it's medicine to feel
But after a while, if I stay, I start to decay
So I take what it gave and start growing
