Trying to avoid the rain
Exposing all my vanities
For you to point and blame
All we've learned till now

False hope for failure
A chance to reclaim
What has never been
Now the rain has cleared away
Showing all my fallacies
For you to point in shame
We have never gone so far
We have never dared to reach
And so we've stayed behind

Collecting these memories
All they mean, is the absolute nothing
All that'll remain from us
Has already been lost
In the tables of time
We chase in vain these dreams
But all we have is the moment we're in
To cherish to hold to grieve
