Betrayed Crossroads
We’re at that place we’ve seen before
Where friendship starts to fall apart
People change and drift as years pass by
But I never thought it’d be you and I
I thought our beliefs would remain
Throughout the years they’d grow and change
to reflect all that we’ve come to know
But at their heart they’d be the same
It feels like we’ve out of time/
We’re at the crossroads of our lives
And our direction’s not the same
Spent half your life fighting for this place
Now you give up because of your age
You found a home when you first came around
But what helped you then now holds you down
So now that we’ve run out of time I have one thing to say
Does growing old mean giving in?
Well not for me
We spent so many years out chasing all our dreams
But that’s not where all this ends for me
And I can say that these values mean more every day
Yes they mean the world to me
