My News Year's Resolution
Is not to invent something that would rid the world of pollution
I know it would be nice but I don't have the skills to do it
And though I have love and hope and am confident
I'm not sure I'd be a good president
My New Year's Resolution
Is not some long lost solution
To save the world from starving
It sounds rather neat and charming
But some people don't give contributions even if I do Darling
For New Years I'm not planning to make promises I can't keep
I'm not promising to make quotations oh so deep
To be brilliant beyond myself would just be a lie
Reality is real, I can not deny
