D. Storsley Lyrics

Animal Names D. Storsley

Take a hold, please grab my clothes,
We’re going out to somewhere
Like the place we tried last week,
It won’t be closed.
Now again or nearly then, my friends all came
Forgot my name and that went on and on,
On and on for days, counting all the wrong names.
Future storms, like our old storms,
Will keep us in. My bike won’t
Fix itself but I know that’s how
It worked before.
All rain falls, I’ve dropped the ball but anyways,
I’m still ok. I’m going on and on,
On a lawn I’m grey and wishing back my own dreams.
I changed my name just once before, back when I tried
A hundred thousand dirty words for waking up.
Rehearsed for a while, got really good at flying
Without wings, without the gull to fall.
Now again or nearly then, my friends all came
Forgot my name and that went on and on, on
And on for days.
All rain falls, I’ve dropped the ball, but anyway
I’m still ok; I’m going on and on,
On a lawn I’m grey and wishing back my own dreams.
