as we set out the first nights of our voyages across the
deep

do you remember the litte island we brought home to bed?
the long-awaited little island we brought home to bed
the things we did, oh the things we did as it sank into
the depths
and afterwards how we lay down and let it sink again

out on our own little island how I reddened eyes
