Zing Battle For Contentment
Verse 1:
It's been two years to the day,
Since I got that message on the telephone.
We're through here, it's too late,
Now all I hear's that song up on the radio,
Oh just hold on we're going home,
That's what they say, that's where they go,
But I'm okay just on my own.
You feel dat? It's real bad.
I ain't foolin nobody at all.
It's a cycle, I do good for a little while,
Til everyone around me, gets engaged or walks the aisle.
And that's the time my discontentment starts to rise,
Loneliness and wandering eyes, only lead to compromise.

Verse2:
It's not good for man to be alone is what God said on the sixth day (Gen
1:25-27; 2:18),
But then I read the apostle's words wishing all would follow his way (1
Cor 7:7).
The single man's concern is doing the Lord's work and pleasing Him (1
Cor 7:32),
With undistracted devotion, that's the purpose behind Paul's reasoning.
(1 Cor 7:35).
Now by no means is it a sin to marry, but interests often get divide. (1
Cor 7:34),
But still I think how a great a call, to lay your life like Christ down for
Your bride (Eph 5:25).
A virtuous wife who fears the Lord, who can find, it's difficult fam,
(Prov 31:10, 30)
But if I'm real, I shouldn't be lookin if I don't fit the definition
Of a biblical man? Uh
Gotta be able to lead spiritually, and economically, becoming fatherly,
Mature enough so you can raise a child, and disciple your family properly.
So as it stands, gotta be content, and give the Lord my everything.
Til I find a girl that does the same, and one day give her that wedding
