We took a walk
Down by the stream today
The stream we'd splash our feet in and get soaked
When we were both young
It had all dried up
Not a drop to see
Save for the salty tears splattering the rocks
As they leapt from your cheeks
It began to snow
In the middle of spring
I just sat there on the rock where we had kissed thinking
"How fitting is that?"
We just walked along
The air devoid of words
But the mass of silent space that slid between us
Spoke more than we could hope
I guess I'm leavin'
And you're stayin' here
The truth is as simple as that
But oh so hard to bear
I got too accustomed
To that sweet face
My only hope is that I'll see it again
At some other time and place
Now there's a lot of people here
I don't like too much
But I'll prove to them I'm more than just a dreamer

But my greatest fear is that I'll forget how good you are
