Head lights flashingAnd the cold night is silent
In shock of the tragedy
Of what just happened
One life surrendered
On this snow falling night
A blanket to cover
The horror that's insight
One life we are given
More chances we have to die
One thing is for certain
We do not know the time
The warm sun is shining
On this once beautiful day
The trees stand shading
All the confusion and dismay
Why did this happen?
A child not yet seventeen
Is stripped of life forever
As we pray that this is all a dream
It doesn't matter if you're young
It doesn't matter if you're old
Death is not limited to night
