I'm a fairy tale I'm a happy end,
I write poems and books and I've got letters unsent.
I'm a special story with a twist at the end,
About a boy who lives through songs.
And at the novel's beginning,
He set out to sing them all.
In the early years through the lack of fear,
There were ups and downs, but it was better than here.
The days were longer and full of light,
And the nights would end in cheers.
He was destined to follow the footsteps before,
And there were laughs yeah there were tears.
Whoah, he knew right from the start that,
Whoah, there's a place in his heart,
For what he believed and what he tried to become.
And now it's been so long,
The story has just begun.
Now what seemed like so long came and went like a breeze.
Everything turned cold and his visions would freeze.
So he turned to the bottle to make things alright,
But in the morning they all crashed down.
Yeah he lived to learn quickly and stuck to the meanings,
That he knew through sound.
And now the devil is calling but he just moved on.
He pulled through it all when it came undone.
He knew he was leaving and to prove them wrong,
He would write and live through songs.
With the content so deeply,
Painting the pictures on and on.
