even though i may seem to be happyi got trouble all the
time
far too many answers missing in my life
and even though it's sometimes that my
days seem to be full of luck and joy
more and more i wonder what it is about
and even though my own songs and the beatles ones keep
me moving on
there is not much fun in what i do at all
i just can't feel at home
in this world anymore
there is nothing that i know of
thats worth living for

and even though the sun comes out
to tell me 'it's alright-just let it flow'
sunbeams just don't reach my inner self no more
and even though the people who surround me do their
best to
keep me warm
the freezy feeling deep down in my heart won't go
i'm a shadow of a man
and i'm fading out slowly
i pick up the phone each night
but there's nobody on it
i'm an empty dried-out lake
though i try not to show it
cause i'm on a downhill passage way
isolated and lonely
