Weh Any Other Day
Rain's been falling for days now, and the cold is closing
in. No clean shirts in the closet, and the hair is
growing thin. The coffee's cold in the morning, and the
beer's warm at night. No good news in the paper, yeah,
the world's a sorry sight. Cheer up, old pal, there's so
much more to life than this. Turn on the lights, try to
forget the things you miss. No whisky breaking the ice
now, and no vodka in the coke. The pile of bills it keeps
rising, well, it's just a goddamn joke. Try to cry
without laughing, still it's hard to break a smile.
Waking up every morning, wond'ring if it's all worthwile.
Cheer up, old pal, there's so much more to life than
this. Turn on the lights, try to forget the things you
miss.
