Watercress Cruelty
How can I be so cruel when I don't know what that means?
I know it's cruel to kill another person
Or to torture fluffy animals for fun
The problem that I find is where to draw the line
And not be cruel to number one
Is it cruel to wash a spider down the plughole
Or to eat a lamb with mint sauce for my tea?
Is it cruel for me to say that I'll never fall in love with you?
What about cruelty to me?
I know it's cruel to go out hunting foxes
Or to put my aftershave in rabbits' eyes
But what I want to know is how far do I go
Does this rule extend to embryos and flies?
Is it cruel to kill the microbes in my toilet?
Or to swat a thingy like a stingy bee?
Is it cruel for me to say that I'll never fall in love with you?
And what about cruelty to me?
Oh my, what about cruelty to me?
