Wait In Vain Forget Me Not
this is how it is, when only hope gets me through these days, that I can forget all, those "best of times" but your words still ring in my head, what's the point of hanging onto a crown, when i was dubbed king for a day and that day was yesterday? What good are memories if they only tear me down? stand on the platform and wait for it all to drop, yet I hold onto them for another day i never learn, that they'll just become another noose, yearbooks filled with smiles, we never knew how long they'd last, when all these memories catch up, I’ll need to leave them in the past, what we had and what we shared I treasured for so long, we had it all we had the world, split the ties, it's all gone, what good are memories if they only tear me down?
