I had a chance to make amends, She blew me off.
I felt so low. If I only could turn back time I know together we’d grow old.
I said to her ‘just one more try... I’ll try a promise and make it right.’
She let my heart land oh so low. She heard those words too many times.
But that’s the way it’s got to be.
Oh, can you hear me?
Is there something I can say to you?
Just tell me what I gotta do. Or leave it alone.
Can’t you see I’m falling to pieces.
Well I admit I made mistakes. She said that’s fine.
Yeah that’s ok.
I should have known from her distant eyes that she was breaking down inside.
But wait, I can feel it she can see right through me.
There’s a million different reasons she should keep on moving.
Honestly there’s got to be a better resolution.
