From the shadows of my mind
memories rise from far behind.
Everything is happening too fast
and I have no time to forget my past.

the world turns black as I'm taken back.
I feel like a god
who has been sent to hell.
Is life just a facade
through which I must dwell?
I feel like an angel
who has broken his wings.
I start to lose control
with each day that this life brings.
I feel like a hero
who has lost his path.
A bow with no arrows
will find only wrath.
Slowly, they come back to me
making sure that I am never free.
Forgotten visions finally return
the fires of hell slowly burn.
I lift my face to seek salvation
but only experience desperation.
