Throw off my blankets and slip out of bed

Turn on the lights, but they hurt my eyes
Run to the door, I gotta get outside
Wait for the elevator, it takes too long
Look for the stairs, tell myself to be strong
Two steps at a time, quickly up the stairs

Slip and fall a few times but I don't care
Reach the roof, the exit door is stuck
Can't kick it open, this is just my luck
See another door right behind me
Run towards it but trip and fall on my knees
When I get outside, I take gulps of air
Barely any lights, just me and darkness here
