Sally was a broken girl
Living in a broken world
Made fun of from head to toe
From her weight and to her curls
She'd twist and twirl and scream and cry but to no avail
If only she had someone to tell
She wishes she was someone else
She feels like she's the only one dealing with all these issues
Only Christmas wish was her mom saying I miss you
She's been gone a while all that remains is the residue
Of her caring touch, at least that's what Sally thought
Life is full of lessons
She just hasn't been taught
She was only 12
Her mind was easily broken apart, easily scarred and always scared
She'd look up to heaven like how is this fair
She doesnt have friends to turn to either and barely parents to guide her
She was engulfed in the pain
Being taunted every day
Every time she'd turn the page in her journal mark a new place
Maybe one day I can change, maybe one day I'll be normal
But I'm asking god for his grace in what I have no control of

Her notebook was her sanctuary, nobody came inbetween
It's where she wrote down what she thought and what she really means
It was a fence to block her demons and it built her self esteem
It was a fortress she protected with a silver lock and key
Leather bound straps and a wolf on the cover
Whether loud laughs or taunts from her brother
Showing she was alone
But she doesn't complain much
About fake friends at lunch hitting her with their mental punches
It was tough but God gives his soldiers the worst missions
In the worst of predicaments and tries to help them fix it
But she was in a tornado
Her world was whirled around
From the gusts of wind that whipped her
The whiplash never held her down
Compiled her story and cried as she wrote it
Tried to stay focused but was sick of the potency
Of the devils words as he told her what to think
But 7 days without prayer makes one week
