Tasteless Candy My Summer Girl
I wake up in the morning, the sun shines through my
roomI look over beside me, to find I'm on my own
I take a stroll through the park, there's people
everywhere
doing summer things with summer friends, no one has a
care
I stumble as I see her, my heads in a whirl
she beams in the sunlight cos she's my summer girl
She'll have long flowing dresses
and lots of shiny hair
she laugh, sing, skip and twirl
and in the autumn I'll ditch her cos she's my summer
girl
she know summer people, who know how to be outside
she'll run down to the sea and play games with the tide
she plays tennis and badminton and when the day is done
she'll serve tea at her garden party and never be
anything but fun
I watch as her hair does that thing with the curl
the sun never goes down cuz she's my summer girl

we'll take a taxi to the Cotswolds and drive around all
day
she never gets angry she just wants to play
she'll swish her hair back behind her ears
if the sky goes grey well when she's there it clears
her skin is white like the prettiest pearl

It's mid July and soon I know the summer will pass
and the time will come for me to lose her sunshine ass
the trees will be bear and the snow will fall
but after that summer's near and ill have my summer
