The Fairy Tale That Failed Lyrics
Susan Scully The Fairy Tale That Failed
Once upon a time, that’s how it began
A little fairy tale by the story-teller man
The knights knew how to wear their shining armour well
Fairy godmothers talking to mirrors
How am I going to tell another fairy tale
That the happy ending failed?
The fairest of them all left to stand alone
While the charming prince he sailed far away
No one to impress the damsel in distress
Talking animals will speak only to themselves
The hero lost his way when he used spirits’ aid
Goblins, witches, trolls – guardians of good souls
How am I going to tell another fairy tale
That the happy ending failed?
The fairest of them all left to stand alone
While the charming prince he sailed far away
