To glance upon oneself
Reflects self loathing inside
All emotions left on the shelf
With inner fears left to hide
This darkness that lingers
And the cold consumes you
Through the dark long winter
A past which I once knew
Never to gaze, never to indulge
To give oneself... completely
A vulnerable state to divulge
Better to store away neatly
As the mirror distorts all perceptions inside
All is revealed within the void
