These California Dreams are never making sense to me,
Somehow I wish I could make these thoughts become my life`s reality
Lying in the darkness hoping, I will see the light,
Too guide me on my journey through this never ending flight
I have this vision of me and you standing on the beach,
Watching the sun set in the West as the water crashes at our feet
Trust in me as we flee the East, headed West in reach of our dreams.
We’ve made it this far now,
There’s no where left to go but up, till we reach the top,
I can’t make it on my own,
I need you right here by my side to tell me everything’s alright,
We’ll lay here and watch the sky until we greet the morning light.
Your smile is a sight never unseen, but in reality it was all a dream,
There’s no more room left in here for nightmares; as long as you’re
here I’ll be happy
I’ll wake up with a smile on my face,
One that he can’t ever erase, because last night you were mine,
At least I had you for a night, when we saw the summers light,
Glitter across the sky like golden angels.
