"I'm sorry, but I have to go." I've said those words before and now I hear them from your lips. As much as I want to hold onto everything, I just have to smile, and wave goodbye.
Because you can't compete with dreams, just push yourself on, follow your heart to where it leads. And I'll miss you when you're gone, but I'll keep moving on, holding on to the words that I'm too scared to say.
And just like that it's gone. The reality, it hits me in the face. As I watch you walk away, I know time just can't erase everything you meant to me, and I wouldn't change a thing. And I won't forget what we lost.
