Every time I wake up
it seems to be
be the same routine
Stuck in a rut
can't get out
where should I be?
Same old job, same old life
gets harder and harder on me.
Shed blood, sweat, and tears all these years.
I put in so much, for what?
Wasn't born to live in misery.
I know there's more to life for me.
Though outside I'm wasting away, I'm being renewed day by day.
Even though, that I know this isn't what life is about,
it seems all the time I get down and out.
So hard to stay focused, in this world around us.
I lose sight of all the blessings in my life.

I put in so much, and for what?
Even though that I know this isn't what life's about, I get down and out.
But all my blessings, they remind me,
that I must stay focused, in this world of misery.
