Scars To Prove Always Indescribable
This is how it is now, over and over, tossing and turning,
Scraping knees, burning slack
My only remedy for this wound is something I lack
We're not running faster and I can see disaster behind the wheel
It's frightening to say that everything is useless
And everything that has gotten me all my cheap thrills
Are behind me again

Blink once, blink twice, clinch those teeth, take a bite
And rip off more than you can chew
Slow down, you're walking fast now breaking speed, I'm passed out
Hitting the floor and our of your sight
Spring has come, what was once done has bloomed and falled short
Of a nightmare, you don't care because you've been there
Best friends on thin ice, how does it feel to be the one I can taste?
I grasp air, and still...we're not running faster
