Everything that I was taught has now become a lie,
You sing my country tis of thee and they send you off to die
I don't wanna be a pawn so money can be made,
And in the name of liberty become a mindless slave
It's time to stand up for yourself
cuz no one else can tell you what to do
They told me that I could free people in distress,
now I'm told that my future is looking second best...
In ignorance I tried to find out what was right and wrong,
but now I know that we were being brainwashed all along
