Memories Still Remain
As I walk through space and time
You’re always running through my mind
Collect my thoughts like grains of sand
As I watch them fall through my hands
Your kiss, your touch, your sweet caress
You’d lay your head upon my chest
And through the tears and all the pain
Your memories still remain
And I try to make it through another day
And I wait, for these thoughts to go away
Although new lovers come and go
And through the darkest days
This old mind has come to find,
Your memories still remain
Loneliness it wears a mask,
That tries to hide its troubled past
Thought I saw you through the looking glass
But it was just my reflection, staring back
And as the sunlight reappeared
I thought I felt you drawing near,
But like a ghost that bears your name
Your memories still remain
If you see her, tow the line
Tell her I’m alright
And I’m doing just fine
As the daylight, turns to black
Let the truth be known
That I’ll take her back
