Stuck inside the basement and I'm freezin' half to death
And this dirty air I'm breathin' is deprivin' me my breath
I know I'm gonna make it, if i just could see some light
But now I just can't take it 'cause outside it's dark as night
It's just a situation, wrong or right
But did I have to close the door so tight?
Ridin' down the highway and it's such a lovely scene
But soon its dark and dirty 'cause I hear a cop's siren
I know he'll pull me over and he'll make me pay a fine
But I'll have to go to prison 'cause I haven't got a dime
It's just a situation for the time
Somethin' to disturb my peaceful mind
I'm at an old friend's party and I'm sittin' all alone
But I wouldn't be so lonely if I'd only go get stoned
Friends they say I'm crazy and they put me on the spot
By callin' me a redneck just because I don't smoke pot
It's just a situation that I'm in
It's all because my friends don't understand
It's a situation I've got to live with or change
