My heart's set on traveling out from the city
In hopes that she'd show the same commitment back to me
Even though the weather's cold, I'll go
Got my maps out and my shoes ready
She says she's sure but says it hesitantly

I try and ignore her criticizing (Like she tells me)

Things change so quickly
From a loved one to some pest to feed
I wear off so quickly
So quickly down to these broken knees
Put my maps away and calm came slowly
Things are sure and I most certainly am staying home
I feel so disposable
