And they led Jesus away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and

Now all of the council sought false witnesses against Jesus, to put him to
Death. And so they came:
FALSE WITNESS
This fellow here, This blasphemer,
I heard Him say-Yes, I heard it myself-
That He claims He is able to tear down the temple of God
And build it again in three days! Three days!
Yes, I heard it myself! And Thou sayest nothing?

Now Peter had followed Jesus afar off and sat without in the palace: and a

He hath spoken blasphemy! Behold, now ye have heard for yourselves His
Blasphemy!
NARRATION (Man)
Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with
The palms of their hands, Saying, Prophecy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he
That smote thee?
And Caiaphas asked of the council, What think ye? They answered and said,
He is guilty of death.
NARRATION (Woman)
And Peter made his way out into the porch. There, another maid recognized
Him.
