For promised shelter and for aid,
I left my son, gave up my throne,
unaware of being betrayed,
There s no one left to call my own .
I do not claim to understand,
laws I ve never seen,
I dispute the court of a foreign land,
I m still a queen .
Lord God,
My Father,
answer my plea;
I beg you, my saviour,
to let me - be free.
Chained and imprisoned,
faithful to thee,
In weakness I m crying,
I cannot walk without assistance,
Commands are no more mine to give.
My faith kept safely at a distance,
I ve just a few more days to live!
I do not desire vengeance,
for Judith s sword I ve seen.
In my end is my beginning,
I m still a queen .
