The windows are open in the house, and it is raining
I feel more alive today than I did yesterday
I don't thank any God for that
Neon streetlights bend and say hello all across the universe
As if distance did not hurt
As if I can't say that honestly
So why'd you ask me to
As if that were and excuse?
I fall towards wherever
As if forever were something I could dig up outside with my thoughts
And it is
And it isn't
I put myself to bed
