The bottom of the sea is where I’m gonna be
Cause every time I surface I sink
It’s a little bit dark and a little too cold
And my lungs are full of water I think
But I’ve gotten used to this if I come up I’m gonna miss
all the things that I’ll never have to say
Cause at the bottom of the sea no one here but me
Even though I’m drowning, I feel kind of safe
I’m gonna hold my breath just a little bit longer
I’m gonna down here just a couple more days
I might open my eyes under water
Where the salt blends in with the sea
That’s where I’m gonna be
I remember once, some time ago
I tried to come up for some air
So I gathered up my strength
Poured myself a double shot of gin just to be sure
Now I’m back underneath
The surface is not for me
So I’m gonna hold my breath just a little bit longer
I’m gonna down here just a couple more days
