Daddy's away and he misses me

I won't jump and run when a key turns the lock

It's really quite silly for me to be sad
When really it's only just, only my Dad

Why, he could be gone for a month or a year

I don't miss him reading me stories and such
I don't miss his hugs or his kisses, not much
I'd rather he didn't come home for awhile
