Neverlasting Fairytale Lyrics

many years have passed, and many are coming

brief is the light that shines so pale

in a sacred place a man is kneeling

to end an everlasting fairytale

he remembers how the time passed by

he remembers how to say goodbye

open your wings and fly

up to the darkened sky

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)

open your wings and fly

I'll leave my last goodbye

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)

he's looking back into the days

into the time she passed away

he's seeing a smile, a lovely face

he knows exactly who's to blame

he was never meant to make her cry

he was never meant to say goodbye

open your wings and fly

up to the darkened sky

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)

open your wings and fly

I'll leave my last goodbye

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)

one last prayer he says while on his knees

he's getting up, his mind is finally at ease

he turns away and leaves the flowers on the grave

he walks away with a twisted smile on his face

open your wings and fly

up to the darkened sky

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)

open your wings and fly

I'll leave my last goodbye

(fly my darling, fly my darling now)
