One Dollar Short The Letter
It's 2:45 am and i can't sleep tonight
You told me that you had written me a letter
To expect it any day now
I ask you for all the clues
You told me i'd have to wait and see
For delivery of your words to me
Today is letter day
Paper and a postage stamp
Takes my gray skies away
You ask me if i still feel the same way as yeaterday
If i cut your name in to my arm with broken glass
would that be proof enough?
I'll miss you befor i finish writing the next line
Why does there have to be this distance between us?
