It was late July and we were up all night.
You had your tongue down my throat but I guess I wasn't your type.
All it took was a couple stupid fights.
Forget the fireworks, forget the summer nights.
Sometimes I have this dream about you,
it's summer time and we're in our late teens.
I jump out the passenger side of your old car
and things are not so great.
