My Dad Is Dead Boiling Over
She says I'm falling down, tumbling down, pouring down,
icy and yet burning with an unseen flame.
She says I'm shining loud, horror stricken, laughing
hard,
icy and yet burning with a passion boiling over.
I know power like I've never known myself to own
shaking my foundations to the very bone.
I'm at the threshold of a wondrous thing that's sure to
bring
the house down and I know it's just a matter of time.
And I'm aching for this change.
But can this change, that seems so far away take hold
and make it all fall together in the end like I've
imagined
it for days? I'm just waiting for that moment when it
hits.
