This dread I feel
Why won't it go
This hollow, this woe
Howling within
Relentless, empty
Like an anchor

The ferocious torrents won't let go

They feel like years
Yet here I stand, remaining
In wake of my despair
Desperate and hopeless
Sometimes I wish I cease to be

And scream it all away
