Momus Pesky Blighters
The kitchen munchers
Such lino crawlers
Come pirouetting through my room
As if they owned my room
Perhaps they do
Of parasitical persuasion
Cartwheeling towards my pantry door
As if my chamber was for them a world
Of interesting gloom
Paperback eaters
Are pesky blighters
With whom the flies who fly around
In city and in town
Cannot compare
(A doom on yourself, a doom on the world)
