Mind's Eye Those Who Fear
When I'm closing my eyes
I hear the wood, it creaks
Water run down my feet
I got nothing to hide
Clearly my conscience speaks
A poor man's captivity
This war should be over
Broken angels defy
How my hands will be tied
Crawl to the crows
Beg for voluntary poets
For we cannot become what we framed
There are daggers buried in my yard
Like culinary thorns
For my knees to fall on
I'm glad we had this conversation
For I couldn't wait to spill out
All that wine on your face

That ties those who fear
Let me walk in the light
As the reality, spits on my vanity

Happy thoughts, scary eyes, who am I to deny?
The one who calls to the crows
