Mighty Sparrow Keep The City Clean
[Verse 1]
I hear they have a new campaign
Cleaning Port of Spain
I know they should really clean up town
But they start so wrong
They only put a few dustbin on them lamp-post
Collect fruit skin
But if they don't want no garbage in sight
See me, and I think I'll put them right
[Chorus]
They should hold Marabunta Jean
And then hold picky-head Eileen
And then hold stinking-mouth Doreen
If they want to keep the city clean
[Verse 2]
Yes, they making so much fuss and thing
About mango skin
Old onion and rotten potato
But like they don't know
Some of them girl they have in town
Sweaty going round
I would rather eat a rotten ham
Than to smell upon them each and evеry man
[Chorus]
They should hold Marabunta Jean
And then hold picky-hеad Eileen
And then hold stinking-mouth Doreen
If they want to keep the city clean
[Verse 3]
The city council should send me
To clean the city

Starting in them club

Not much, only one or two
If get way he laid and then there when ah pass
Is licks on Charlotte Street to the La Basse
[Chorus]
They should hold Marabunta Jean
And then hold picky-head Eileen
And then hold stinking-mouth Doreen
If they want to keep the city clean

Broad-zip-mouth and one-breast Angela

They go bawl like a cow
Yes, when you go in the club to buy a flask
And you miss them covering up the La Basse

And then hold picky-head Eileen
And then hold stinking-mouth Doreen
If they want to keep the city clean
