well i guess i was never
that much of a child
i was key brown ice eyed and cold
i was bitter and driven
had to find all the givens
and the hows and the whys
and of course i cried
at every loud sound
and it was the bathroom and the kitchen
both white and sprayed red
i ran to my playhouse by the river
and it was there that i learned how to climb
my first fence
i've got 5 candles on my birthday cake
and the fifth one is for luck
and i've got 10 minutes to get it straight
i run up the stairs monsters behind me
turn the knob -- too late
