God, You have a lot of things to show me
If You’re willing, someday I’d really like to see
Use Your mud and water on my eyes, please
Because even dirt sounds better than I have found the dark to be
God, You wrote a book to cultivate me
With Your wisdom, someday I’d really like to read
Tell small stories that I may understand
Turn the pages for me; I can’t seem to use my clumsy little hands
It’s a narrow way
But I’m not blind; I will find ways to stray.
Keep some mud on hand
I can see now
That I might go blind again
