A child was born in Bethlehem, the promise clothed in light,
The Word made flesh among us, to pierce the endless night.
He came to bring salvation, to set the captive free,
The King of all creation, born for you and me.
The angels sang His glory, the shepherds heard the sound,
A Savior for the nations, His mercy will abound.
The star proclaimed His coming, the heavens bowed in awe,
The Lamb who takes our sin away, fulfilling every law.
From the manger to the cross, from the grave unto the sky,
Jesus reigns forevermore, the Lord is lifted high.
Hope was born at Christmas, and hope will never die,
For the King is coming soon, redemption drawing night.
But now the signs are showing, the earth is trembling near,
The trumpet soon will echo, His coming will appear.
The Child once in the manger returns in majesty,
The Judge of all the ages, the King eternally.

The Alpha and Omega, the first and last is He,
