With the ropes around our necks,
you never thought we’d last.
But time will prove you wrong,
and prove so much more to ourselves.
So many times I held it in.
I never thought others felt it too.
Holding back is not an option now.
We grew up fast and we’ll be dead soon.
Coming from an empty place where everyone’s the same,
we’re the ones that are brave enough to stand up and
question what we hate.
I will not retrace my steps.
