Two women walked down a lonely street
Ruth and Naomi share a tragedy
Both of them lost their husbands to war
So they packed up, picked up, and headed off to warn
Family in the city of Bethlehem
You see Naomi had a brother there and decided to send
Ruth back to her own land far, far away
Ruth loved God, God called her and told her to stay
